today will be a long post because i would like to share 'gui yi' ceremony with you guys.
first, i reached dong chan about 1 p.m after bring water for my sister at her college.
she has a weird habit which is she will only drink plain water from home.
that's why my mom has to send water for her although she doesn't go home on that week.
i was assigned to registration's counter by si fu
most of the people started to register from 2 p.m and i finished the registration at 6 something without any rest.
after i finished the registration, i rushed to the place for ceremony.
i was shocked when i reached there because it is extremely big with thousand of seats.
then i started wondering how many people did i registered just now
the ceremony started with "praise of the incense", "recitation", "great compassion mantra", and "chanting of the heart sutra"
today i am just took refuge to three refuges but not five precepts.
three refuges mean to take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha
besides, five precepts mean no killing,stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and taking drug.
the reason that i did not receive five precepts is because i am not sure whether i can uphold 'no killing'
i always accidentally kill some small animals such as ant and mosquito.
hahaha
after that, master hsing yun lead the prayer for the offering of light through video
he was not attend for the ceremony because the victims' of earth quake at sichuan need him more.
yet, this ceremony still means a lot for me.
there was a small incident happened when the ceremony was in progress
one of the si fu faint!!!
maybe he is too tired or sick
because there are a lot of things need to be prepared for Dharma function
then, the ceremony end at 10 and i stucked in the crowd for 20 minutes
my mom called many times to rush me fast because she was sure that outside will jam deadly once all the people inside wanted to go home
after that, my mom fetched me for dinner because i was too hungry
i didn't eat anything for whole except chocolate when i was at my sister's room
finally i reached home at 11 something
